Meaning “Soul of Fire,” Alma del Fuego draws inspiration from Nicaragua’s volcanic landscape. According to Plasencia, the blend incorporates premium long-filler tobaccos grown in Jalapa and on Ometepe Island, home to the Concepción and Maderas volcanoes. The island’s volcanic soils and unique growing environment contribute distinctive characteristics to the tobacco cultivated there.

Plasencia reports aging select Ometepe tobaccos used in the blend for approximately seven years before they are incorporated into the cigar. Completing the blend is a reddish-brown Nicaraguan wrapper grown in Jalapa, creating an attractive presentation and adding another layer of Nicaraguan character.

Depending on the individual palate, Alma del Fuego may reveal impressions of roasted coffee, clove, pepper, and espresso, followed by nutty nuances and a touch of sweetness on the finish. The result is a rich, layered smoking experience with a balance of spice, depth, and complexity.
