La Aurora was the 1st cigar factory in the Dominican Republic. It was founded on October 3rd, 1903 by Eduardo León Jimenes. He was a hardworking man whose grandfather had been a tobacco grower. Honoring his family tradition, he decided to take things further and established a factory and cigar brand that would eventually become known the world over. Nearly 120 years later, La Aurora has a presence on the five continents; its wonderful cigars are sold in over 60 countries; and they employ more than a thousand people in their factories and facilities. It’s the company’s values that have carried them far and wide. La Aurora’s values are those of a small family business: honesty, integrity, passion for excellence, and good business manners with suppliers and employees.
