Montecristo Espada Oscuro Guard Toro (6x50 / 5 Pack)

Espada goes dark. Montecristo Espada Oscuro takes the celebrated all-Nicaraguan character of the original Espada and gives it a richer, stronger, more intense expression.

The Montecristo Espada Oscuro was created as a bold follow-up to the highly acclaimed original Montecristo Espada. Developed by Montecristo’s renowned Grupo de Maestros with access to exceptional tobaccos from the legendary Plasencia family, Espada Oscuro builds on the foundation of the original while taking the blend in a distinctly darker direction.

At the center of that transformation is the wrapper. Espada Oscuro replaces the original Espada’s 2010 Jalapa Habano leaf with a dark, richly colored vintage Habano Rosado Oscuro wrapper, bringing greater strength, depth, and intensity to the smoking experience.

Beneath that striking wrapper lies an entirely Nicaraguan blend, allowing the richness and complexity of premium Nicaraguan tobacco to remain at the forefront. The result is a fuller, more robust interpretation of Espada that still maintains the balance and refinement expected from the Montecristo name.

Expect a deeply satisfying profile of earth, leather, black pepper, warm spice, and rich tobacco, with the darker Rosado Oscuro wrapper adding additional body and complexity as the cigar develops. The flavors are bold without becoming unruly, creating a smoking experience that rewards enthusiasts who prefer their Montecristo with a little more intensity.

The collaboration between the Grupo de Maestros and Plasencia gives Espada Oscuro serious pedigree. It combines Montecristo’s historic blending tradition with access to some of Nicaragua’s most prized tobacco, resulting in a cigar designed for seasoned smokers who appreciate depth, structure, and powerful flavor.

For fans of the original Espada, the Oscuro offers a compelling opportunity to experience the concept from a darker perspective. For lovers of rich Nicaraguan cigars and Oscuro wrappers, it delivers the strength and complexity they crave with unmistakable Montecristo sophistication.

Dark. Rich. Intensely Nicaraguan. Add Montecristo Espada Oscuro to your humidor and experience the bolder side of the celebrated Espada collection.
