Luciano Fiat Lux

A cigar factory releasing a cigar brand under its own name is nothing short of a regular occurrence these days, but sometimes they are so surprisingly good you wonder why you’ve never heard of them before. Tabacalera Pichardo is that Nicaraguan factory, and they’ve released cigars under a few different names. ACE (A Cuban Experience) Prime, Pichardo Familiar Reserva, and Luciano are among those lines, and each are fantastic. Each of these brands features an incredible attention to detail, high-quality and well aged tobaccos, and spectacular construction. If it’s made at this factory, you can be assured that it will be an exceptional quality cigar.

Fiat Lux is ACE Prime’s newest collection under the Luciano line. The cigar’s inspiration stems from the Latin expression, Fiat Lux, which translates to “Let there be light.” It is also commonly used when describing the intellectual movement of the Enlightenment, representing the search for knowledge and meaning. Regardless of your interpretation, Fiat Lux is an excellent new entry from the Pichardo factory in Nicaragua. Using a blend of carefully selected and well aged Nicaraguan filler and binder tobaccos, Fiat Lux is topped with a gorgeous Ecuadorian Sumatra wrapper. The copper colored accents on the label perfectly compliment the shade of the wrapper leaf. Tasting notes include flavors of coffee, sweet cream, and pepper along with hints of toasted nuts and cedar. It’s a compelling cigar that is enjoyable anytime of the day and would pair really well with espresso or dark coffee.
