The Foundation Olmec Maduro cigar line draws inspiration from the ancient Olmec civilization, which inhabited parts of present-day Mexico between approximately 1600 and 400 BCE, as well as the San Andrés region known for its tobacco-growing heritage. The cigar features a Mexican San Andrés Maduro wrapper over Nicaraguan binder and filler tobaccos. The wrapper undergoes a slow, low-temperature fermentation process before production, while the Nicaraguan filler leaves are bale-aged for approximately three years prior to rolling. These preparation methods are part of the blend’s manufacturing process and contribute to the character of the finished cigar.
