The brand new La Antiguedad is the latest and greatest from My Father Cigars. Featuring similar art work on the bands, the La Antiguedad can be viewed as the big brother to the Flor de Las Antillas, or as the Garcia family puts it, “like the Flor de Las Antillas on steroids”. For those unaware, the aforementioned Flor de Las Antillas took home the coveted Cigar of the Year award from Cigar Aficionado in 2012. Needless to say, when the La Antiguedad was announced as the newest blend from My Father Cigars, many people quickly took notice. Blended by Don Pepin Garcia himself, the La Antiguedad features an Ecuadorian Habano Rosado Oscuro wrapper, a split between authentic Cuban seed Criollo and Corojo is used for the binder, and several other rich Nicaraguan leaves are utilized for the filler. Altogether, these leaves culminate to create a cigar that is both sophisticated and impeccably balanced. Pepin fans will no doubt fall in the love with this cigar, and instantly recognize the intense up-front pepper and spice, earthy soil, and leathery sweetness that has made Pepin’s blends so famous.
