DBL stands for “Dominican Big Leaguer” and was founded by baseball nut Francisco Almonte (hence the name), and he has literally been working with tobacco since he was a kid at age 7. At this young age, he worked to devein tobacco for his father, and by age 12 he was rolling cigars. But there’s more to Almonte’s story. He had the unique privilege of studying and learning the ins & outs of cigar making and blending from none other than Carlos Fuente and Lito Gomez.
