The Davidoff Millennium blend was launched late in the 1990s to mark the turning of the millenia. It set a new benchmark for strength and flavor rarely seen in Dominican cigars before. The blenders tried 300 different wrapper types to get the blend just right and what they settled on is what they called the Hybrid 151 wrapper grown in a special area of Ecuador with a distinct micro climate. This special wrapper is carefully laid atop a core of well-aged Dominican filler and binder tobaccos. Tasting notes include flavors of dark chocolate, oaky woods, earth, and coffee along with hints of toasted almonds, pepper, and cream. Since it’s release, this has consistently been one of our favorite Davidoff blends.
