Camacho. Infamous since 1962. At least that’s what every Camacho label says. To be honest, Camacho was just another cigar brand from Honduras until about 20-25 years ago. The Eiroa family purchased the brand from long-time friend Sal Fontana and began to develop a new cigar using their proprietary, Honduran-grown Authentic Corojo tobacco. They claim to this day that they are the only growers of real Corojo tobacco in the world. This fabled tobacco varietal was grown in Cuba for a very long time, but due to mold issues, they stopped and vaulted the seeds. The Eiroas wanted to reintroduce this extremely flavorful tobacco to the world and tinkered for many years before perfecting a process of growing this tobacco in the Jamastran Valley of Honduras. With a blend of 100% Authentic Corojo tobaccos, the Camacho Corojo brand was born and re-established itself as a disruptor of the status quo.

Camacho American Barrel-Aged is a cigar that blends the essence of Camacho’s impenetrable Cuban roots with the innovation of Kentucky bourbon makers. Rest assured, staying true to to Camacho’s core values, this is not a Bourbon flavored cigar. Rather, it’s a passionate fusion of technique that forges an intense smoking experience unlike anything else. Camacho American Barrel Aged starts with 6 year old authentic Corojo tobaccos that are aged for 5 months in charred American Oak Kentucky Bourbon barrels. Rich filler tobaccos are blended along with American Broadleaf and Pennsylvania maduro to complete it's core. American Broadleaf tobacco is used for both the binder and the wrapper. This masterfully built stogie delivers a richness and complexity characterized by oaky flavors and sweet bourbon aromas. American Barrel-Aged is truly the embodiment of uncompromising craftsmanship. Tasting notes include the aforementioned flavors of oak along with notes of black pepper roasted nuts, and just a hint of bourbon sweetness. Earning ratings as high as 93 points in the press, this special Camacho is worthy of the brand’s rich heritage.
