The Havana Soul brand has been around in a few different variations since 2003. Originally made by Pepin Garcia in Miami, FL, Havana Soul quickly gained a reputation for being an outstanding cigar at an exceptional price. In 2007, Pepin decided he was too busy to continue with this project and we took the brand out of production until we found a blend that was a worthy successor. In 2010, Rocky Patel had a hot-hand and created a blend that gained even more attention than the original release. However, he only had enough of the right tobaccos to produce a scant 200 boxes. In 2013, we sold our last box from the Rocky Batch, but we hunted down the tobaccos used by Rocky and his former blender (and now independent cigar maker) AJ Fernandez had what we were looking for.
The NEW Havana Soul by AJ Fernandez has been blended to perfection using the same, well-aged tobaccos as before. The format is a 6x52 Toro and will be produced in the same limited run of 200 boxes of 20. They are produced at his Tabacalera Fernandez factory in Esteli, Nicaragua using an Ecuador Habano wrapper combined with a Nicaragua binder and Nicaragua filler leaf. Once rolling is complete, the cigars are aged 12 months to ensure excellent combustion and flavor. The NEW Havana Soul by AJ Fernandez is full bodied in strength and rich with flavors of earth, leather, and coffee with hints of cocoa on the finish.

I Love AJ Fernandez cigars!! Havana Soul is really a nice cigar. It has a nice draw, burns good. It starts of peppery then it goes in some complex flavors, medium-full body. This is something I wanna keep in my humidor. Also, it went well with a glass of Arran Malt Scotch.
Some beautiful cigars! I hadn't even heard of Havana Soul or the New Havana Soul, and they were made by AJ. "If he's rolling them, I'm smoking them!" said by an AJF fan. They are currently resting comfortably in my humi, and when ready to be smoked I'll return with a review. Right now, prompt delivery, and expertly packaged.
