After more than half a century, the future is seemingly bright for future of Cuba - US Relations. On August 15, 2015 the US has reopened it’s embassy in Cuba more than 54 years after it was closed. It is a historic step in signaling the warming of diplomatic ties between both countries. While this is a big step forward, the Cuban Embargo is still active and we are keeping a hopeful eye on what the future holds.

When you open the box, you are greeted by a strong visual of an old US embassy building baring both the US and Cuban Flags. Finally, you see the beautiful cigars which are draped in a beautiful, dark Maduro wrapper with a striking black, blue and silver band that screams for your attention.
The Cuban Diplomat by Cubanacan is a cigar that took several years of painstaking development. 3 years aged, top grade Nicaraguan tobaccos from Esteli and Jalapa were chosen for the filler core. A 5 year old Ecuadorian Habano binder was chosen to keep these core filler tobaccos together and balance the flavor. Finally, a naturally-cured Ecuadorian Habano Maduro wrapper is skillfully laid on top to complete the blend. This beautiful, oily looking cigar grabs your attention from the first glance.
Tasting notes are rich and diverse. Flavors include earth, nutmeg, cedar, and pepper with lovely undertones of coffee, caramel, and the slightest hints of cocoa.
